The Blood In the Basement Part 1 Empty
PostSubject: The Blood In the Basement Part 1   The Blood In the Basement Part 1 EmptyFri Jun 26, 2009 2:30 pm

As Lilly entered her new bedroom, her first thoughts where that this was the most disgusting bedroom she had ever been in [the fact that she had only been in a few bedrooms limited her opinion on the matter] The bedroom was small and dingy, lit by a small light on the top of the cracked ceiling, the light giving off a eery fluroscent glow.
The bedroom smelt of death, and though she didn't quite grasp the concept of death yet, she knew that it was a bad and evil thing. Sometimes when she closed her eyes and opened them again, she could see blood trickling down the cracked plastered walls, but when she blinked, it was gone.

Lilly was 12 years old. Lilly had shoulder length brown hair, and bright sparkling blue eyes. She was a slim 40 kilos, and she was 5 ft tall.

Her father came in all of a sudden, dragging the bed he had broken up a few weeks ago, before they had moved, he planned on setting it up for her. She sat down on the floor, and watched him construct it. His floppy brown hair coming down over his face, blocking the view of his face.

Lilly watched him for a while, before deciding to explore the rest of the house. The rest of the house was just as dismal, when she first got out of the car to go inside the house, she had feelings about the place, she had the feeling that bad things had once happened here, bad things were living here. She never told her father about what she felt about the house, because she felt that he would never listen to her warnings and vibes that was coming from it.

The house was made out of bricks, the bricks were old, cracked in some places and blood red, the roof tiles were broken, and they were grey. The windows looked like big mouths waiting to swallow her whole, and the door wouldn't look out of place in a horror film.

And now, as she carefully surveyed the house from inside out, the nagging feeling in the back of her mind intensified, screaming at her to get away from this place, as far away as possible.

"Don't be silly Lilly, it's simply just an old house that nobody has looked after for years, it's bound to be a little creepy looking" she muttered to herself, as she reached the bathroom, pushing the door open, the door creaking on its hinges. She gasped as her eyes took in the bathroom, she saw the blood again, blood all over the tiled floors and cabinents, blood trickling down the mirror. She quickly shut the door, heart racing, and she rushed back to her bedroom, where her father was still putting the bed together.

He sat up, hearing her come back in, and frowned at her chest, heaving up and down.

"Are you okay Lilly? You seem a little... flustered" her father asked her.

"I'm fine.. I'm just a little... excited about moving into a new house" she replied, trying desperatly to slow her breathing back down to normal, and to erase the bathroom images from her mind.

"So, you really like this house so much do you" Her father playfully asked, raising a questioning eyebrow at her.

"Oh .. yes, it's fantastic" she enthused, combining the statement with a big strained grin.

"Well, thats good, because I'm hoping to be here for a long time, if possible, the other houses I looked at are way to expensive for my budget" her father replied, turning back to work on the bed again, grunting under his breath as he tried to remember how it was meant to be set up again.

Lilly sat on a pile of blankets her father had put down beside the bed for when he finally put the bed up, and she rested her hands under her chin, her mind racing as she tried to take it all in, the blood on the walls and tiles and mirror, the eery vibe she kept having, the brick walls outside that reminded her of the colour of blood. She wasn't sure what it was, but something wasn't right about this house, and she was scared for what else might be hanging around here.

"So.. this place just has a basement does it, it doesn't have an attic like last house?" she inquired.

"Yup, just a basement, but don't you go down there, I have yet to change the lightbulb down there, and theres rat-traps there too, you might get your toe caught on one of them" he father replied, finally completing the bed and standing up and admiring his handywork.

She helped her father make her bed, and set up her valuable posessions in the room, her desk with the computer, a small notebook laptop, her pink alarm clock, and she put all her clothes away in the stuffy, smelly wardrobe that came with the house, towering over her, a big, brown monstrosity.

"Well, your bedroom is done, now for my bedroom, and to liven this house up a bit" Her father replied as they stood near the doorway, surveying their work.

"Yeah, fat chance of that happening" Lilly muttered under her breath as her dad turned to walk away.

"What was that Lilly?" Her father questioned.

"Oh, nothing, just saying how much nicer the room looks with my stuff in it"

"Hmm.. yes, it does look a lot better, less dim and spooky anyhow" Her father commented and walked out of the bedroom.
